Our team
The team at Ochil Tower School is committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the children and young people on our campus.
Our staff carry out a wide variety of roles (outlined in more detail below) but share a common commitment to realising our pupils’ potential.
Management
Leadership and collaboration are central to our work, and our Executive Director, Executive Team, and Operations Managers, collaborate to ensure the school runs smoothly and effectively. They provide strategic direction, oversee daily operations, and support our teams as they carry out their roles.
Education
Education is at the heart of what we do at Ochil Tower School, and our team of teachers, teaching assistants, international volunteers, and Life Skills coordinators work collaboratively with each other and colleagues in Care to help realise our approach towards providing the best possible learning experiences for our pupils.
Care
Our care team works in close partnership with colleagues to ensure that the children and young people enjoy the most positive holistic learning experiences appropriate to their interests and attitudes. With House Managers, Assistant House Coordinators, Residential Care Workers, care coordinators, and Waking Night Staff, the care team provides around-the-clock support.
Support Services
Our dedicated support staff each play a vital role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for both pupils and staff. From office administration, IT, and HR to our chefs and cleaners, their work ensures that the school runs smoothly.
Therapist
Communication is key to learning and growth at Ochil Tower School, and our Therapy Team, including a Speech and Language and Occupational Therapist working closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils develop their communication skills.
Maintenance & Estates
We have dedicated and skilled garden and maintenance staff who manage and care for our seven-acre estate. Whether they’re planning the planting in our walled garden, supporting learning through therapeutic horticulture, or ensuring that school buildings are safe and welcoming, our Maintenance & Estates team help to make Ochil Tower School a home away from home.
The Board of Trustees
Our Board of Trustees provides invaluable strategic leadership, governance, and oversight, ensuring that Ochil Tower School operates effectively and in line with our aims and values.
Our Board consists of volunteers with a wide range of experience and insight. They provide support to our leadership team and play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of care and education that Ochil Tower School is known for.
International volunteers
Our team is supported in their work by international volunteers, who spend a year living and working with us on our campus.
