Beth McDonough

I trained at Glasgow School of Art, then Dundee University, and taught Art in various sectors, including Special Educational settings. Currently I teach part time in Writing Study and Practice at Dundee University.

I’m also a poet and I’m involved in various projects connected with my creative work, and I review and and edit for DURA (Dundee University Review of the Arts). My pamphlet Handfast (with Ruth Aylett) explores my family experience of dementia and my son’s autism.

My son Keir was a pupil at Ochil Tower. He is now successfully placed in a young adult Camphill Community. I've been involved with various projects and groups in relation to autism.

I enjoy swimming outdoors and foraging for wild foods.
